This quartz is named for its resemblance to a cactus, with its radiating crystal points covering the surface of a larger quartz crystal. Cactus Quartz is typically found in shades of purple, pink, and white. This particular Cactus Quartz specimen is coated with goethite, which creates a beautiful golden-brown hue. Additionally, the specimen displays natural iridescence, which is a result of the crystal's surface refracting light in a way that creates a rainbow effect.
